The 58th European Marine Biology Symposium will be held in Bodo, Norway from 6-9th July 2025. The conference will be hosted by Nord, University in collaboration with EuroMarine Network.

This is the 58th annual EMBS, continuing an tradition since the 1960s to bring early career and experienced researchers together in a relaxed environment to share knowledge, know-how and thinking about marine biology and related sciences. In addition, this event will continue the practice at the last two EMBS to host a panel of major research projects contributing to government and European marine and environmental policies.

ULTFARMS Session at Marine Spatial Planning Week 2026

At MSP Week 2026, ULTFARMS will host a dedicated session on how Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) can accelerate the transition of ocean multi-use from pilot projects to large-scale implementation. Bringing together policymakers, MSP practitioners, and representatives from European initiatives and Member States, the discussion will address governance and licensing challenges, offshore co-location planning needs, sea-basin cooperation, and policy priorities for the future of multi-use in European seas. Aquaculture Europe 2025

Aquaculture Europe 2025 The Aquaculture Europe 2025 conference centers around the theme “Aquaculture for everyone,” emphasizing inclusivity and sustainability. It aims to align aquaculture development with environmental integrity, support primary sector regeneration, boost economic value chains, and foster lifelong learning across administrations and communities in Europe. ULTFARMS partners from Deltares, the FuE-Zentrum FH Kiel, and from Universiteit Gent will be attending with several of them presenting.
